Jay has been married to Kimberly since 1995. Currently, Jay is a Vice President - Mortgage Loan Officer with State Bank. Jay enjoys playing golf and hunting. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church.

Jay and his wife have been residents of Ward 6 since 2007. They have two children - Lauren, who resides in New York City with her husband Ryan, and Kathryn, who attends The University of Texas.
