The Texarkana Area Community Organizations Active in Disaster (TACOAD) supports Bowie County Texas and Miller County Arkansas.  It's mission is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster.  TACOAD is a collaboration among community emergency, rescue, medical, transportation, city, and other agencies.  If you are interested in being a member of the TACOAD or serving our community through volunteerism in the event of a disaster contact 903-798-3211 to find out more.

Volunteers are necessary to efficiently assist those impacted by disaster. Volunteers are a valuable resource when they are trained, assigned and supervised within the emergency management system.  Get the training you need today, so you can be prepared to help if disaster strikes at home, or abroad.  There are many organizations and faith-based groups that work nationally, and in Texarkana that need volunteers.  Follow the links to find out more:
